I love Monday morning, as it is now.
There’s a story from an ancient Chinese poem. It says: why the pond is kept so clear? this is because there’s always fresh water running through. This story tells the importance of frequently taking in fresh and new resources in our lives. 问渠哪得清如许，为有源头活水来 — 朱熹《观书有感》
On Monday morning, the fresh water at the source is switched on, up and running again. So I feel rejuvenated.
New stories around the world is coming into the feed; new podcast episodes are starting to pile up again; new expectations can be set to receive updates on important matters. It’s the joy of anticipation when the day finally comes, like when we couldn’t wait to get up on Christmas Day to open the presents.
